Adventure destinations for Adventurous Nomads

Some of you are adventure seekers, you love sports, crave the outdoor life and dream of places to go and experience some adrenaline. I have put together a dream list for places you MUST visit if this is you.

  1. Paragliding in Oludeniz, Turkey

One of the highest take-off sites at 6500 ft, tandem paragliding here will take you through 360 degree spins to get the most stunning views of the turquoise waters and green mountains of Oludeniz.

2. Scuba Diving in Kao Tao, Thailand

Snorkel the coral reef off Koh Tao island and expect to see some turtles while you’re down there! The most popular place in Asia to get certified as a diver because of the diverse and incredible dive sites around.

Scuba diving schools are often very environmentally aware, as divers frequently see first hand the damage global warming and trashed plastic are causing to our oceans. Many diving instructors are happy to have a chat about ways that you can reduce your impact in the place your staying.

3. Surfing in Bali, Indonesia

Bali is a surfer’s paradise. In the south west of the island there surf schools, rent shops and surfers everywhere. From beginner to advanced, you’ll find your perfect wave here.

4. Skydiving in The Gower, Wales

5. Climbing in Tonsai Beach, Thailand

Tonsai is a haven for climbers from complete novice to expert level. You can climb for magnificent views of the beach and jungle, and enjoy the local hospitality when you get back down to sea level.

6. Bungee Jumping in Zimbabwe, Africa

Bungee jumping from the Victoria Falls Bridge will give you a big thrill. With the beautiful waterfall just beside you and the surging Zambezi river just below you, this is one amazing bungee.

P.S. don’t forget to take your passport as you won’t be allowed on the bridge without it!

7. Snowboarding in Verbier, Snowboarding

For those who are exploring cooler climes, snow sports are a really exciting experience. Skiing and snowboarding can be pricey but if you can go outside of the high season prices tend to be a lot lower. Worldsnowboardguide.com is a great resource for finding resorts and even has a list of the cheapest places you can go to get out on the powder.

Verbier is one of the most well known skiing and snowboarding spots, and for good reason with its massive 400km of piste, and different styles of accommodations, from dorms to chalets to suit every skiing budget.

8. Horse Riding by the Pyramids, Egypt

For a different perspective of the pyramids, how about horseback? Riding through the desert is pretty epic, and guides will take you to special spots for amazing photos.

9. Kite Surfing in Las Palmas, Spain

Ranked as one of the top 3 kitesurfing spots in the world, Las Palmas has lessons and boards (and kites!) available to hire for all levels of wind sport enthusiasts. The year-round pleasant temperature and high winds in the summer months keeps people coming back.

I hope this has got you excited about having some adventurous moments on your next trip. Adventure always changes you, and you never know what’s on the other side, and that is part of the pull.
