“Life is an adventure where the goal is knowing the truth, yourself, and your connection with the world”
Life was unfulfilling in Corporate London. It made me feel sad to see that people become so consumed with a system that takes away from the 9-5. It feels strange to me that life in the system means working long hours, spending more time with acquaintances, and being unhappy.
I learnt this the hard way. Through not having a great time in a job that went against every fibre of my being, I was able to find myself. The person that I found was amazing. I discovered that I was a lot happier, freer and more interested in compassion. In doing that job, I was able to see how organisations weren’t helping people grow and would stagnate them. By doing that job and then travelling, I was able to understand what my purpose in life is making people happy. Seeing people smile and be themselves.
My purpose is helping others build a sustainable life that excites them. My chosen gift to the world is to give to others in a way that promotes balance, freedom and compassion. I chose this mission because I want to live in a world where people are able to enjoy the moments that matter and noticed that London absorbs people to the point of sickness. I felt my soul change with deciding that I ready to pursue a life as an entrepreneur and a digital nomad. I decided I wanted to be a life coach and business psychologist.
This notion of creating a life that we desire rather than a life that society expects is becoming more of a thing thanks to the digital nomad community. It opened my eyes to a whole world of possibilities. I was able to work with my business psychology and life coaching diploma to build a foundation to help others find their chosen gift. I have helped friends start up their yoga practice, business for dog trainers, graphic design companies, coaching practices, etc. All of which are able to move to different locations. It's an amazing experience watching others grow and develop. When starting up a business, I would like you to focus on how you can help others with your product, service and "bigger picture" purpose.
It helps to remember the quote from Goldie Hawn: "giving back is as good for you as it is for those you are helping because giving gives you purpose. When you have a purpose-driven life, you’re a happier person" — Goldie Hawn
So my questions to you are: what makes you happy? What makes you enjoy life? If you could do anything right now what would it be? What are your hobbies, passions and dreams? Think big and work your way down to a small step. If you’d like me to help you on that journey, then send me a message or write on the group.
